The Bay Adelaide Centre is a signature tower in downtown Toronto featuring two dramatic glass “sails” that extend above the structure´s façade. A pristine prism clad in clear glass, the project will feature a major public art contribution, integrated with the building architecture, by the world renowned lighting artist James Turrell. Designed to a LEED Silver standard the project will be Toronto’s largest new sustainable building. Making a much needed contribution to the downtown open space network, a public plaza to be built in the first phase, over ½ acre in size, will ultimately become the focal point of this three tower development.
The 50-storey, $300M structure contains over 111,480 m² of rentable class-AAA office space. It includes over 3,700 m² of below-grade retail space linked to the downtown´s extensive concourse network. Three levels of below grade parking provide 1,100 cars.
