The design explored the challenges of integrating tall vertical building forms with highly programmed street-edge podium elements. Right-to-light requirements for the residential buildings led to the unique, and effective, solution whereby four curved towers are set about a generously proportioned internal courtyard. Added to this composition is the counterpoint of the adjacent 48-storey hotel and office tower. The lower portion of the tower is dedicated to office space, above which is placed the hotel complete with internal skylit atrium. A residential club, street-edge retail and below-grade parking for 800 vehicles complete the 180,000 m² program for the site.
