The Abraj Quartier, or “Neighbourhood of Towers,” is a major component of a large and ambitious mixed-use development in Doha known as The Pearl. The design language is essentially a contemporary interpretation of traditional styles and themes, which in turn have been informed by the regional climate and culture. The site plan organizes a series of residential towers and low-rise townhouses along a roadway and boardwalk that front on the Gulf. The boardwalk not only provides a pleasant pedestrian amenity but also serves as access to the adjacent beach. Two beacon-like office towers flank the main access road and serve as the gateway to the overall Pearl development. The Abraj Quartier will include 2,200 residential units and a total of more than 350,000 m² of built area.
