Junction East gets a green light from the Sudbury Council
The Junction East project in Sudbury has earned the council's enthusiastic approval and a round of applause from those present in the gallery at Tom Davies Square.
After six resolutions were voted on, Mayor Brian Bigger declared, "We are going forward with the Junction East project."
The 102,000 sq ft building will house the main branch of the public library and the Art Gallery of Sudbury, as well as the Sudbury Multicultural and Folk Arts Association. The STC and the two buildings will combine to create a cultural campus at one of Greater Sudbury's most well-known junctions. The facility is anticipated to open in 2024.
