The design for 75 Broadway Avenue seeks to enhance an existing residential neighbourhood by constructing a new 40 storey rental building. Blending old and new in an architectural composition, demolition is proposed for parts of an existing 10 storey building and basement to create space for a new tower and multi-level below grade parking. Within the new tower, approximately 400 new rental units are proposed, with a fraction serving as rental replacements for those demolished. Proposed materials include large expanses of glass for light and views to the surrounding City, as well as brick at the base to match the adjacent finish.
