Sunrider is part of the DC microgrid ecosystem that includes mySUN. Sunrider was designed to be a joyful experience for creating green energy while riding a stationary bike - in your home or office. Our lab partnered with Ryerson University to examine the effects of stationary biking on both physical and mental exertion as well as brain physiology. Biometric devices including elastic arm and head bands were used to interpret fatigue and the state of mind (calm or active). By monitoring physical outputs and the corresponding brain wave analysis of a pedaling session on the stationary bike, we hope to provide evidence of the impacts of exercise on mood.
